Milton Canoe and Camera Club Health, Safety and Conduct Policy
PURPOSE
Milton Canoe and Camera Club and its members have a fundamental obligation and responsibility to protect the health, safety and well-being of every individual that is involved in the MCCC paddling and photographic community.

Milton Canoe and Camera Club and its members have a fundamental obligation and responsibility to protect the health, safety and well-being of every individual that is involved in the MCCC paddling and photographic community.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESPONIBILITY
- Review all MCCC activities or events and ensure that all risks are identified and managed in advance.
- Consult with Members on matters that may affect their health and safety.
- Inform Members, organizers, volunteers and attendees of any specific health and safety circumstance relating to the activity or event.
- Provide Members information, instruction and supervision for activities and events.
- Ensure that at any activity or event, a minimum of one MCCC Member be the point of contact for health and safety matters that may occur.
- To review and update our health and safety practices on a yearly basis.
- As active members all Member responsibility also applies.
MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITY
- Members are required to report any health conditions that may prevent them from performing the exercise required to participate in club activities or events.
- Members are required to act responsibly at any activity or event.
- Members or any individual at an activity or event shall refrain from engaging in behavior or conduct that jeopardizes the health and safety of the participants.
- Members will respect the use of club property or any other facility that may be used for club activities or events, and not willfully cause damage to those facilities, or to the property of another member of the club.
- Members will act responsibly and ethically when photographing people, wildlife and property.
- Member interactions will be held in an environment which consists of dignity, respect and common courtesy.
- Abide by any/all activity specific additional rules (e.g. Canoe Share Program)
- Members agree to comply with the Health, Safety and Conduct Policy when engaged in MCCC activities or events. Any Member’s deliberate disregard of this policy will result in dismissal of membership.
- Members agree to comply with any national, provincial, municipal or emergency protocol. (e.g. COVID-19)
