Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday December 13th at the Milton Christian Church (280 Hwy 8, Milton). We begin at 7:00PM and all Members and non-Members are welcome.
We urge you all to come out and participate. It is important that we hear views, feedback and questions. Active members are eligible to vote and as with any organization it is vital to have the membership and community involved to assist with the direction of the club. We hope to see you there! The annual "Championship of the Dartmouth Lakes” as it was called a hundred years ago, will be held on 17 September.
The format will be the same, a mass start and a trip up to the turning body at the far end of Lake Charles. The sprint clubs will be involved too so everybody is welcome and, of course, there will be pasta and prizes at Senobe afterwards. Cost is $ 10 per paddler. Registration starts at 8:30 at Lions’Beach. For more info contact Dave Lewis at miltoncanoecameraclub@gmail.com It’s our Third Annual Photography Exhibition and this year our Milton Canoe & Camera Club member photographers will be displaying the beauty and charm of Queens County.
Our photographers have embraced Queens County with their personal and favourite photographic technique. You’ll see beautiful landscapes, long exposures, reflections, famous structures, photos that look like paintings and more. As a fundraising effort our photographers will be selling their Queens County prints to raise funds for our club. The proceeds from your purchase will help support the club to run its programs and services that benefit the kids and families in our community. Come and enjoy a night out, on Friday September 16th, from 6:30 to 9:00 PM, at the clubhouse 137 West Street in Milton, meet the photographers and take home a piece of Queens County! The Canoe Clinic will be led by Russell Prime. Sign up now to learn the skills necessary for calm water paddling on the Mersey River.
